Why a condo developer sees big upside in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe

As development in downtown Denver fills up remaining parking lots, developers are looking to the north and south for fast-growing neighborhoods in need of new homes, more retail opportunities and fresh office space.

This is especially evident along South Broadway, where several developers are bringing literally millions of square feet of office space and a wealth of new rental and for-purchase housing options.

And not too far away from those developments is the Art District on Santa Fe — a walkable, eclectic district that attracts thousands of people for its popular First Friday Art Walks. A number of condo and apartment developers have circled the Art District as a mini River North Art District on their maps, but say the neighborhood has a chance of offering more attainable prices for homebuyers and renters.
