There may not be a better time for condo and home sellers in Denver than 2020.
After significant increases in the number of homes going up for sale in 2018, the number of new listings came to a screeching halt at the end of 2019. According to the latest report from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, there were 30% fewer new listings that came on the market compared to November. While that drop is high, it’s not entirely surprising because sellers typically don’t go to market around the holidays. And for the year, total new listings were still up 4%.
But what’s most staggering is the lack of inventory heading into 2020.
